Re: South Koreans in the 7th Div.

ED,
      " 3rd Infantry Division.Korea
7th and 15th regiment sailed from San Francisco from 30th August 1950 to
September 1950,bound for Moji Japan.
The Division minus the 65th Regimennt was severely short of men and
was given 8,500 South Korean draftees to integrate into their units. Most
Squads of the 3rd Division contained 2 Americans and 8 koreans.By first week
of November ,the 3rd Division had sailed from Japan and linked up with the
65th Regiment in Wonson Korea. The 3rd Division was ordered to relive the 1st
Marine Division, block the main roads in the southen parts of the corps zone
against guerrillas and by-pass north koreans, and to protect the
Wosan-Hungnam coastal strip"

Looks like everyone was short handed ,The 7th Division,3rd Division, and what
other Divisions had the same problem ???
