| Sandy, The Russian sources all say that there were observation posts along the coasts as these were integral to claims of shootdowns by their pilots. Many of the aircraft listed in the "1059 Document" that I provided to Ed some time ago are listed as crashing X kilometers out at sea, and those are based on the coastwatcher observer reports.
