That was the AN/GRC-9 or "Angry 9". Replaced the SCR 694, I believe.

Never heard that one. Plate on the ones I used all said AN/GRC-9.
(IIRC) Operating range was AM shortwave from 2000 KC to 12,000 KC - 160 to
20 meter bands.
