Yes I am have some conflicting
information.
One of my original question included was how the
Russian
developed thier Liquid Cooled and Radial
Engines.
From my informatin the NK receive a lot of aircraft
and they did not seem to be used after the first 6 months.
Taking an accounting of some 250 planes
supplied. Many were wiped out by attacks on NK fields.
BUT according to some information, books and
threads, the NK were resupplied with more AC...
Yet war acconts indicate the NK did use their
aircraft throughout the war in ground attack roles.
Mostly small groups at a time.

Il-10
Hmm. I thought you said you were
reading the books on this -- most of them are very clear and explicit as to
what aircraft flew. Some of the kills claims are wrong.
The KPAFAC was
initially equipped with the post-war Yak-9P (all metal version of the wartime
Yak-9D) and the Il-10 for combat, and the U-2 (Po-2), Yak-6/16, and Yak-12 and
Yak-18 for liaison/training aircraft.
The PLAAF was initially equipped
with the La-9, MiG-9, Tu-2, and later the MiG-15 versions as well as Yak-17UTI
trainers for conversion training.
The Soviets flew La-11 night
fighters and MiG-15 fighters.
One stray A-20G "Boston" (Soviet name
which combined the US aircraft and the British name for the DB-7 together) and
one Il-12 were also shot down.
The USAF did shoot down the majority of
the propeller losses among Yak-9 and Il-10 types. The Royal Navy, RAAF and
SAAF did not get any as far as I knowl, other than the one shot down by the
cruiser. The US Navy and Marines mostly got the slower "Bedcheck Charlie"
aircraft as their F7F-3N and F4U-5N were better suited for "low and slow"
intruders than the F3D Skynight or USAF F-94B Starfire.
