| The major problem for the KPAFAC was that it had more planes than pilots. They lost most of the skilled (relative term) pilots up front, and had to train more. Later, when they were resupplied, Kim Il Sung did not want to lose his "status" symbol on meaningless attacks. Unlike his propaganda folks he knew full well that they would be shredded in combat with any US aircraft. Most attacks were in small numbers and extremely erratic in both tactics and effects.
