Have any of you heard of silk maps used in the Korean War?
Did any of you use them? Were they very accurate?
At this map of the Western Sector for the period ending 31 March 1953, this appears to be as scan of a silk map, or is it? http://www.koreanwar.org/html/maps/310353w.jpg (click on it to get a little box that will enlarge it).
Additionally, I have been trying to compare the land gained at 31 March 1953 with the end of the war map http://www.koreanwar.org/html/maps/270753.jpg, but I am not getting very far with determining what hills we ended up with. Any ideas?
A list of all of the Army maps can be found on this page http://www.koreanwar.org/html/maps.html
Thanks.
