Re: A Physicist Defector's Account of North Korea's Nuke Labs

Title: Re: A Physicist Defector's Account of North Korea's Nuke Labs
Hi, Joe -

It's at:

http://www.kimsoft.com/2002/nk-nuke4.htm

The article is an abstract of a Japanese article, whose URL is given in the above htm.    Some of the 'facts' presented are not accurate but the general picture described is correct as far as I know.  North Korea's nuclear program began in the late 1950, probably in response to Gen. MacArthur's threat to nuke NK.   My hunch is that Stalin wanted Kim to make his own nukes so that Kim could wage a proxy nuclear war with the Yanks.

Some people suspect that NK has perfected a laser-isotope separation technology. The device is said to be of the size of a coffin (?),  easy to hide and sell abroad,  NK stands to make a fortune selling it  - hence Bush's sudden interest in the NK nuke program.

YSK,

Thank you for the interesting article. Would it be possible for you to
repost it (or send it to me offline) with the maps included? The related web
sites at the bottom of the page look like they refer to files on a disk. Is
this article posted on your web site?

Many thanks,
Joe B.
