WASHINGTON (Army News Service, Oct. 22, 2002) - Troops
panicked and gave in to "bug out fever" on Jackson
Heights despite taking the hill without much trouble,
50 years ago this week in Korea.
Oct. 24-30, 1952 -- After dark on Oct. 24, G Company,
65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division relieves
the South Koreans on Hill 391. The hill will soon
become known as Jackson Heights for Capt. George D.
Jackson, company commander.
