A friend of mine is putting together a collection of his Korean War awards and decorations. All that I was authorized was the Japan Occupation, the Korean Campaign, and the UN Defense medals. But there has been a whole slew of medals authorized since he and I were discharged. I had the link to a site, but I can't seem to find it now. Can anyone tell me where I can find a list of medals?

You will need to send a copy of your DD 214 and request that they send you all metals that you are authorized to receive .
 Send To :  Commander
                      US Army Support Activity
                      Philadelphia , Pa  19101-3460
They advised me that " The metals that you are authorized will be sent within approx. . 120-180 days .
You are authorized the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation Badge . This foreign award
is not issued by the Dept. of The Army , but may be purchased from civilian dealers in military insignia "
Also you can receive the Korean War Service Medal by sending a copy of your DD214 to Randolph
AFB , San Antonio , Texas .  The best way to peruse
getting this medal is to contact your local VFW post
Quartermaster and request their assistance .
