Marines-Army
Guys:
This old ex-swab jockey is enjoying the 50 plus year roll back to what
we thought about each other's services (all in good humor, though)
during the Korean War. What I remember most about the jar heads was
their taking off their belts from their bloused jackets on liberty when
there were interservice disagreements, and wrapping the belts around
their fists, with the belt buckle showing. We sailor types, with no
belts, no boots, nothing but 13 buttons on our bell bottoms, had to tie
off rolls of quarters in our neckerchiefs to even things out a bit. But
we were young then.
Best regards and pleasant memories,
Don
