Re: What happened?
I didn't go on the first two details that didn't have to carry anything
back. I got tapped for the third one. It was like music to hear that truck
whining up the hill. There were two G.I.'s, armed with M1s, riding on the
fenders. They were grinning at us when they came in sight. They knew how
glad we were to see them.
