Re: Nuclear Echoes from Korea
John,
>>On May 19 1953, the Joint Chiefs recommended direct air and naval
operations against China, including the use of nuclear weapons. The
National Security Council endorsed the JCS recommendation the next day. <<
Far from complete. This was a warning to China and North Korea to quit
stalling and sign a ceasefire. It went along with establishing logistics
bases in Japan in Korea to support an airborne/seaborne invasion of North
Korea, which also was a warning of what would happen if they
didn't. History shows it worked and they believed these warnings so signed
the ceasefire.

NSC approved use of them in May 5003? <
Don't know if Gen. Clarg gets nukes in May 5003 since that is too far in
the future. <BG>
