My guess is that the planes are ROC Air Force.The combat markings
look like those used in ww11 on the fighter planes.If you will notice the
slotted leading edges of the wings.This was a revision back in
1956.Therefore the picture was after 1956.The airfield has no revetments and
the parking arrangement certainly isn't conducive to protection againest
air attack.The field may be suwon but i don't remember much about what was
there.
There is a possibility that the planes are Army recon planes to
take pictures. The "olive drab" color of the AUP's on the padd wasn't the
standard color of our flightline equipment.
Ours were yellow.this included the "Follow Me"jeep used on the flightline.
Les, in conclusion i believe that you could say that your
guess is as good as mine.
ED, In my files i have another picture of this i'm sure
same type aircraft,Have to go hunting,This aircraft was set to me from
airman stationed at Naha after 1958.
