And it needed just an itty-bitty fire. Americans with fireplace habits built big fires and woke up with smoking sleeping bags.

That Colonel woul have probably seen a beautiful bonfire as He came up the road to where the house had been. They did burn quite often with the fire under the floor heating thehouse. It was better than central heat. When sleepling on that floor on a straw mat you knew it when you rolled off the mat
