RE: No Gun Ri

There are still quite a few people who cannot understand that soldiers sometimes have to make hard choices.

Just thought I'd point out that it was journalists, and not historians, who fabricated the story of a purposeful massacre by US troops at No Gun Ri.

And it was historian Robert Bateman (who also has a military background) who ferreted out the truth.   He could do this because he had the training and the experience to bring a variety of primary sources together to form a coherent whole

No argument here! But when very obviously biased journalists pass off their "discoveries" as "history" a true, objective, dedicated historian has to get out there as fast as possible before their "discovery" becomes "fact" and then "Myth". There are still the dimly aware who want to believe the worst and are trying to discredit Mr. Bateman as a "shill" for the government, more's the pity.
