You may chant this as a mantra all you want, Sandy, but the sad truth is
that the Dutch were run out of the NEI and were capable of accomplishing
almost nothing at all.  The US had to send an artillery regiment into Java,
for instance, which was soon captured and the Australians had to occupy
Timor for a time.
