RE: Slow period for list

The BAR magazines were a pound apiece, but I don't remember how heavy the BAR was. I only remember they used to give it to the shortest guy in the squad.

hi Ed: don't mean to offend ya but, what happened to good ole  " Merry Christmas" as
we used to say some time back? Now it is "Happy Holidays." What happened? I
ain't too sharp ( never was,even when I was a young upstart ) but I smell a rat !
Somebody  who is for "diversity" and all that garbage is getting their way ! I don't like
it! By the way, somebody said  in this List some time ago that as we got older we
could not  do what we could do in  the early fifties. Like the typical jerk I am, I disa
greed! But I found out,the hard way that  even lifting a 40 pound bag of yard trash
is hard work. By the way,not important, but how heavy was a  B .A.R and a mortar
back then? Oh yeh, while I am at it, I remember  30 caliber WATER COOLED machi
ne guns were used during training. But, were they used in combat ?
I promise I won't ask any more dumb questions or comments! Chico
