| Chico, I think that's one of the reasons the more serious and contemplative people are here on the group. Some obviously have nothing better to do than cause mischief, but there is a certain bond among those who fought in that war. I freely admit that it was not mine -- my period of service being 1968-1990 -- but I feel a bond with the people who went before and likewise wonder about them. As time goes on, and more and more comes out from the other side, a different picture and dimension comes out that is both intriguing and a bit sad -- many of those who went and fought on both sides did not return home to continue with their interrupted lives, or even begin them in full. It is times like this -- Christmas -- that gives me pause to consider how lucky I am to be here and that had fate or the good Lord decided differently I would not be here to enjoy the comments on this group.
