A number of American prisoners, mainly pilots, were transported to the USSR
for interrogation and were never released. The information concerning them
came to light during the period of perestroika.

What did the Chinese do with their prisoners? Did they hold them in North
Korea under their own control, or did they turn them over to the North Koreans?
I doubt that they would have openly held them in China, as that would have
compromised the ostensibly unofficial "volunteer" nature of their participation
in the war.
