Those of the Korean War that have it in their medical file that they suffered frostbite in Korea, if they have not filed a claim, you are throwing away $200.00 a month from the VA. I just got a raise to $210.00 and do not think it is enough for what I suffer from. I did not file a claim until 1996 as the city of Chicago told me, that if I was receiving benefits from the VA due to the war, I would not be hired as a police officer, so I had to sign a waver in 1956.
