| I can quite believe Americkaans mistreatement of Pws in Korea. However, other Eropeaans countries which were in the the operation probably did also. The Brits were nlotorious racists. To them, any asiaan was a 'wog', equi]valent to the amerkaans wordt 'nigger', 'gook', 'slopehead', enz. As at the Amerikaans treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo, I doubt that they are treated so niucely as at the gentleman states. Amerikaans are still notorious racists. Ask any Afrikaans-Amerikaans, Latijno, enz. I have heard reports that priosners went on hunger strikes at Guantanamo because of mistreatment, lack of 'halal' (Muslim equivalent to Kosher) food. The conditions shown on CNN, show priosners kept in what amount to cages. They had very little freedom of movement. Conditions in Guantanamo may be 'beter' (rather less harsh) than in Korea. Guatanamo may beter be run than Korea, but Nazi Koncentatie Laagren were 'beter run', dad is were they more efficient. Amerikaans, as most people at war always vilifiwe en dehunanise the enemy. However, in Korean conflict time, if I am not mistaken, was Amerika still in grips of raciaal segregations laws, 'Jim Crow'. Although not histrically very accurate, in terms of attitudes towards war (it was really probably more of a Vietnaams era attitude) the TV show Mash. Had a characteer, which was one of the doctors which onbjected to medical treatment of PWs. His attitudes were very racist.
