Not guilty to that charge, John, we had been deactivated by that time. We
did steal our truck while it was parked at something called the "Ash
Can Bowl." It was an outdoor movie theater in a rear area. I saw a tent in a
rear area one time that had a little wooden sign on it that said, "Marilyn
Maxwell slept here." I guess she came there with a USO show. We never saw one of
those.

vehicle while attending the USO show in about September of 1951 that had Errol
Flynn and Merilynn Maxwell in it. Someone made off with it during the
show. Maybe I now know who misappropriated our
jeep.
