I wanted to thank Cookie Sewell for his superb work
in translating the three chapters of the Volkovskiy book on the Korean
War, and to Ed Evanhoe for making them available to us on his web site. Once one
gets past the political dialectic, which is surprisingly sparse in the three
chapters posted to date, this is a surprisingly frank assessment of the
successes and failures of the Soviet-backed North Korean and Chinese forces in
the Korean War. I can't wait for additional chapters to be posted. Did
Volkovskiy deal with the issue of KPA/CPV intelligence in the Korean
War?
