Wasn't your unit 155s?  We had 155s support us on many occasions but we never knew which unit those Long Toms were.  The 105s we knew but not the heavy stuff. All I knew was we sure welcomed hearing thosr Freight Cars going outbound.  Thanks a million for your help Jerry.  Say, give me ring on my pc and we won't clutter up this website

   The 171st FA Btln was 105s in support of the 2nd
Btln 180th Inf Reg . As a member of a FO team I was up with  F Co 180th Inf Reg  most of the time , but
105s also sounds like freight cars going over head .
