I am reminded of the picture of him looking down the barrel of an 
M16 the wrong way.  

even if his duties reporting for "Stars and Stripes" weren't

I know a few VN vets and none had two bodyguards with them 
wherever they went like AL.  I doubt anyone in the KW had two 
bodyguards for that matter either, except for maybe Gen. 
MacArthur. (Tie in with Korean War)
