For those who don't know, Maury served in the Korean War with the United
Nations Partisan Infantry, Korea, 8240th AU. When the war ended and the
8240th disbanded, he was transferred to intelligence operations with duty
as an agent dispatcher/retriever. In other words, he inserted agents into
North Korea and later retrieved the same agent(s) when it was time for them
to come out. Most of the time inserting agents was fairly routine but
retrieval was always an adventure since often the agent, or agents, had
been caught and the bad guys were waiting. Made for some interesting times.
