And with his passing more history is lost. The Korean War
history is larded with stories about the 1st Marine Division, the 24th
Infantry Division, and the 187th Airborne, and other large units, but there
were dozens of small, unsung units such as the ones Maury and I served in.
They rarely receive even a paragraph in history books. Our men did mostly
in historical silence.
United Nations Partisan Infantry? I never heard of it. But I
wish I had.
