Re: History paper: What effect did the war have on the world today?
I was an infantryman during the 1950 fall and winter campaigns in Korea. This was
the first we went to war to keep the communists from taking over a country. The
fact that we drove the communists forces out of South Korea, and have kept them
out for more than 50 years would indicate that we were successful. But I am sure
that others feel as I do: we really didn't win the war. Especially, those of us
who were forced to give up all the territory went took in north Korea.

Hello, My name is Monica Wilson and I am a student at Andrew College. My history
class is writing papers about the Cold War and the Korean War. The Korean War paper
has to be about what started the war, what happened in the war, and what effect
did the war have on the world today. My question to the people who fought in the
Korean War is what are your opinions about who won and who lost. If someone could
be of any help I would appreciate it. I am sending this from Beth Cullom’s e-mail
address.
Thanks,
Monica Wilson
