Read Harold Fischer's autobiography some time as he describes the way they were treated by the Chinese. Not recommended!

Most of the Koreans were not trusted with POWs by either the Soviets or Chinese, the former as they wanted the intelligence and the latter for the "barter goods" they provided. The Koreans tended to be neanderthals who would simply shoot them.
