Robert,

Several of the releases/"humanitarian gestures" were published in Stars and Stripes during 1951 stopped being published when the brass decided publication was playing into Chinese Psywar hands. Other accounts are statements made by those released (National Archives) and even more are in the Korean War POW Association files. Also, a few have come out as snippets in various books on the KW POW/MIA issue.
