Robert,
Here's a pic of the 8 inch--200mm--Amer.
howitzer.
Generally had a 7 man crew but often 9 men were
required.

Never heard of a 200mm U.S.Mortar................

I need accurate descriptions of the U.S. and NK/Chinese
ordinance used in the non-tank areas such as hills and mountains.
Everything from U.S. BAR's, light and heavy mortars, 105mm cannon, and
including our 200mm howitzers. Details are for book I'm writing on
Chinese methods and equipment employed in attacking hills and mountains that
Americans and UN forces held. For some reason, I haven't found the
offices of the Pentagon very helpful and forthcoming. It isn't trivial
to me and I sure hope it isn't to them. Any
help would be greatly appreciated--even one good URL will
help! Please leave your name and
email. Thanks very much, Blake Mooney RB Mooney
