When financial resources were low for military budgets there was a lot of harsh
words going on.  Especially the arbitrage and asset stripping that was going on with
the large companies. It ws brutal and political. Very few survived today intact.
Such as GM, Hughes, Ford, Boeing, IBM...and a few others.
Interesting stuff, Dan, including the stuff about the establishment of the USAF and CIA.  I hope I managed stuff well about the WWII list through SUNY-Buffalo (specifically I hope my not talking about segregated services didn't affect history negatively [the truth!?!), and I did actually file a federal complaint about being kicked off that list (second one I've filed regarding a mailing list through a university...  They U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (U.S.D.E., O.C.R.) claims it's investigating right now.  I could file a federal suit now, and I'm more familiar with them as well.  (I filed my first appeals in the last month in a federal case!)

Bye for now,
