Mandy, there was a time when we might - and often
- did try to settle with our fists the argument about which arm of the
service was the best. We are old guys now, and our arguments are done with our
typing fingers. But such arguments will persist as long as there are separate
branches, and as long as there are men who are proud of their branch of
service.

You are quite right, it is in bad taste. Your admitting it
doesn't improve the taste.

I was responding to a slur on the honor and the patriotism
of the United States Army. I shall continue to respond to such comments.
It is wrong to cast a slur, it is right to respond to a
slur.
If the Marines are so great, how come they don't have a football
team instead of carrying water for Annapolis?
