The P-39s were out of service with the VVS by Korea, as they no longer had access to any parts for them and had what they felt were superior aircraft in service (La-9/La-11, Yak-9P, Il-10, and especially MiG-15).
There were some P-63s stored out in the 83th IAK area on the Laodung Peninsula, with at least one fighter sweep shooting up a number of them on the ground.
The KPAFAC (Korean Peoples' Armed Forces Air Corps) was ONLY given a few select types of aircraft. The starting ones were the Il-10 (for the 1st Ground Attack Aviation Regiment) and the all-metal Yak-9P (renamed from T or U to indicate "perekhvatchik" or interceptor, for the 1st Fighter Aviation Regiment, later the 1st Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment.)
Later the 1st GFAR was re-equipped with MiG-15s and the 2nd FAR was established, equipped with La-9 fighters.
There is no (repeat NO) indication from the Soviets or the Chinese that the KPAFAC ever had P-39s, as those aircraft were essentially unsupportable by 1950.
