KOREAN WAR DISCUSSION LIST

    KOREAN-WAR-L (Korean War discussion list) is provided by the Kansas State University. It is a commercial-free list where those interested in history or the Korean War can post their comments or experiences, ask questions of other list members about events and carry on an open discussion of Korean War related topics. Periods covered by this discussion list is pre-Korean War through 1955 with "pre-Korean War" meaning events which took place prior to the Korean War which had a direct or indirect bearing on the conflict -- the Yalta Conference, Soviet Union help in arming and training the North Korean People's Army and the like.

To subscribe send an email to:

listserv@listserv.ksu.edu

Do not put anything in the "subject" box. In the main text enter,

sub korean-war-l  (plus your name)

and send. You should receive a confirmation from the automated listproc within a few minutes which will include instructions for using this list. Once you are subscribed, you can send a post to the list by sending an email to:

korean-war-l@listserv.ksu.edu

Please note the "subscription" address and the "posting" address are different. The "subscription" address is for sending commands to the list. e.g. You want to stop receiving mail from the list for a short period but do not want to sign off permanently or you wanted to leave the list. In these cases you would send the "command" to listserv@listserv.ksu.edu  However, if you wish to send a post to the list, you would send your post to: korean-war-l@listserv.ksu.edu  Or, if responding to post on the list, use the "reply" icon on your email program.
